Recently, elections were held across Europe, and the results show changes in support for different political parties.

Far-right and nationalist parties gained support, but centre-right parties also did well and remain the largest group.

The European People’s Party (EPP), a centre-right group, won the most seats in the European Parliament elections and are expected to have around 184 of the 720 seats, which is about a quarter of the total.

Far-right parties made significant progress in the elections. In France, the National Rally secured nearly a third of the votes, becoming the leading far-right group.

In Italy, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s Brothers of Italy party gained more than a quarter of the votes.

The European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) and Identity and Democracy (ID) groups will hold 131 seats. Additional far-right seats include 15 from Germany’s AfD, 10 from Hungary’s Fidesz, 6 from Poland’s Confederation, and 3 from Bulgaria’s Revival party.

what are you identifying as apparently according no according to the BBC’s training scheme for being a journalist if you’re white and male you’re absolutely stuffed well the dog just barked then and I was slightly worried you’d make a joke about me identifying as some kind of dog which a very definitely I’m not I’m I’m very much identifying as the usual Isabelle oak shop but can I say something because I hope we’re friends and I think I can say this to you see now immediately the humorous response to what you said there which was you know I’m a dog I would have said no you you’re you’re a good-look lady but that will offend you because you can’t oh there’s the dog you can’t you can’t say you can’t say to a woman you look good somebody wrote to me not six months ago do you know this story he worked in an office for 15 years with the same woman she was going to a ball on a Friday night she came out of wherever she changed in this ball dress he said you look really really gorgeous that’s a really sexy dress written warning for identifying her sexuality I mean this is so dep pressing isn’t it I think most women enjoy having a compliment being complimented I mean as you get older they get fewer and farer between and pretty grateful for any compliments that come your way so I just think this all this stuff just kind of takes the joy out of life doesn’t it it does take the JY I want to do a little bit of politics with you but I also then want to ask you about pagan witches before we talk about well actually let’s start with the liberal Democrats because if there was any doubt in anybody’s mind as to where the liberal Democrats stood uh Ed Davy The Man Who falls over a lot uh today came out and said that they would fight for the listen to this you lot they would fight for the UK to rejoin the EU single market and eventually the S the sdp the the liberal Democrats would overturn brexit over to you Isabelle oot well good luck to them with that one I mean I could kind of see as a as a political strategy we know that you know half the country roughly did not vote for brexit so I could see that the libdems I can see why they might think that this is some kind of vote winner on paper in reality I mean does this country really want to go through all that utter misery of another referendum and people all being divided over the issue again answer to that no I think if you had a referendum on should we all go through this again the answer would be a resounding absolutely not um Ed Davey launch his Manifesto there from a theme park um telling everybody that they should come on the ride with him I thought it was a pretty high-risk strategy didn’t you I mean you know the jokes tell themselves don’t they as you see him what a complete Wally he looked in a suit on a on the Jolly rocker and I’m not massively keen on cyclist so I would want to have knocked him off you sort of imagined a bit like sunak he might have just fallen off the bike like no not s it was the guy that fell off the the the scooter thing oh the yeah ham of Yousef that’s right a brilliant moment which I I think I’ve probably watched about half a dozen times and I still really enjoy seeing it it’s very good isn’t it now let’s talk on the wider scale we’ve done our liberal Democrat bit I’m really fascinated because you are our International editor and I’ve got a very strong feeling about this but I I don’t know whether you’ll agree with me I cannot believe the irony of how five years ago Europe laughed at us as we left the European Union and at the exact moment that all polls point to the fact that we will have our first labor government socialist government in 20 years over the weekend Europe’s launched lurched to the right 1 million perc Le Pen will probably be in power macron’s called an election in France the Belgian prime minister’s lost his job it’s almost like the Europeans have woken up to the fact that it was right five years ago to leave the European Union and yet we’ve left it haven’t done it and now that’s going by the by the irony you couldn’t by could you the absolute irony of it and what’s this all about well in one word immigration Europe across the EU voters are sick and tired of the realities of an open borders policy and they’re all feeling it you know we are obsessed with it here because we’re an island and we really have taken a huge hit as a result of open borders and we are incredibly overly densely populated in certain parts of the country but we’re not the only ones feeling this you know this is something that’s had a massive impact in France in Germany and you know guess what the voters are pushing back they don’t want it and you know if they were asked quite a lot of them would probably say that they’d quite like to say bye-bye to the EU as well if that’s the only way that you can stop the open borders policy free movement of people which has had such a tremendously negative impact on people’s quality of life in so many parts of Europe but but the I agree with you but the irony of course is that we’re about to get a socialist government having oh by the way this is for you and me apparently you’ve got a pin back El lugos uh this is a voice note from Amanda Amanda go why are you waving at me you said go with it man I can’t Isabelle carry on it’s not working it makes me look like an idiot again go on crack on I’ve lost my train of thought here I was quite excited Amanda oh right now he’s ready now man oh my God right Isabelle I apologize take duh go hi Jeremy uh my name’s Amanda I identify as a a larger white over 60s female and I have a very loud voice and I really don’t care what people think I will say whatever I like thank you great show brilliant this is about how you can identify with because I said that I was a white middle class man and that got me into trouble um you identify as an international editor and a bit of a a good-looking woman am I allowed to say that no I’m not allowed to say that am I I also I mean look we all identify as many things I’m not in any doubt about whether I’m a man or a woman but identity is about more than that isn’t it I’m also the mother of three young children and a noisy dog that has a habit of barking at just the wrong moment there’s also a cat meowing in the distance I hope we’re not it’s a lovely domestic scene isn’t it it’s a lovely domestic scene but just for very quickly and so good of you to be on the European thing is worth looking at because you wonder if the polls are right and this country lurches to the left that’s what the people apparently want you wonder whether from reform and the remnants of the rightwing of the Tory party that will rise and that will reincarnate itself just very quickly we know about you and your Lynx you’ve always been very honest to Richard and you know about Niger and everything Nigel farage came out today and said no pack with the Tory party but sella braan Robert genrich and any of you that are interested can come to reform because I ain’t doing a pack with you did that surprise you no not at all reform’s position as I understand it is always that any pact has to involve conservatives folding into reform so whatever any kind of Alliance looks like it’s not going to be called a conservative party it would be called reform with some conservatives in it uh but that is uh all to be remains to be seen you know how that might play out after the election I think all the parties right now you know they can’t afford to be thinking about what might happen afterwards I mean certainly for reform UK is a struggle to get seats no point in pretending otherwise so they have to focus on what they can achieve between now and polling day and I don’t think any of that should be taken for granted of course it’s possible they might not get any seats at all so they can’t afford to be spending time speculating on what kind of luxurious choices they might have after polling day it’s all about going out there and spreading the message Isabel honestly you wer so are we really appreciate you being on thank you very good luck with the dog and the cat and the three kids

  1. The left won in Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Finland, Portugal, Slovakia, even in Italy were Melloni just swapped the seats of Lega. The center held in Spain, Germany, the baltic states, Bulgaria and Greece. That is the large majority of the Europeans supporting the EU. You are just wishfully thinking and have no idea.

  2. The majority of women enjoy compliments. The majority of people don´t care about PC/Wokery/DEI/or Trans madness. The Majority of people don´t want open borders. The majority of people love Britain. The majority of people want our Goverment to do what it should be doing…. abiding by the wishes of the MAJORITY. Instead, particularly Labour, cater only for minorities so much so most of them can´t even say what a women is! And Conservatives are the same. So we, the majority, will now vote to elect a party that represent US, the majority. VOTE REFORM.
